Matching what was built in the past with today’s flexible housing needs? That’s exactly where Coloc Housing, a young entrepreneurial company based in Ghent, is aiming to transform residential housing.

The sharing economy in general is on the rise. Sharing spaces, time and resources, not only increases productivity, but also enhances social interaction, is more sustainable and makes perfect sense. Coloc Housing emerged from the rising trend in Belgium for young people to get together and share a house. Our vision is to help tighten the social fabric in society by facilitating shared-living. We do this by creating a community of like-minded people across all walks of life that connect, share experiences and live to the fullest.

By transforming century old townhouses into beautifully designed shared-living spaces, we not only preserve and reactivate city heritage, but but also make city living affordable for young people at the start of their careers. With a strong focus on sustainable renovation—achieving an EPC A label post-renovation, maximizing the efficient use of available square meters, and extending the life of existing buildings—we position ourselves at the heart of the circular economy

Our mission is to design, conceptualize and realize beautifully furnished and sustainable shared-living spaces that inspire and facilitate shared-living. Today, we manage +50 houses, with +30 more in development, creating homes for +700 people. Our goal is to open 10,000 places across 20 cities in 5 different countries in less than 10 years.

Vote for Coloc Housing if you also believe that great places are better shared together 😉.
